Lynden Schools Moves to 5-Day Meal Distribution Day for Fridays

Starting Friday, Oct. 23, Lynden Schools will distribute five-day meal kits once per week on Fridays.

The meal distribution will only be on Fridays and include five breakfast and five lunch meals. All meals are free for any children in Lynden. Tuesday, Oct. 20, is the final Tuesday distribution day.

The new Friday distribution model will occur at all three elementary schools — Bernice Vossbeck, Fisher and Isom — and Lynden Middle School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bernice Vossbeck will also hold a 4:30 to 6 p.m. distribution on Friday. There is no distribution at Lynden High School.

Curbside distribution includes no contact delivery if you open your trunk and is allowed at one meal kit per child involved in remote learning. Students attending in-person learning are receiving both breakfast and lunch at the school and receiving a kit on Thursday for Friday’s meals.
