Transitional Kindergarten

Lynden School District is excited to introduce Transitional Kindergarten!

The Lynden School District is introducing a new program for the 2022/2023 school year that will provide a free, full-day-school opportunity for four-year-old children who show need and/or ability. As part of our new Launch program, your four-year-old child will be fully integrated into school and will learn, play at recess, eat lunch in the cafeteria, and even take the bus to and from school with the other children, if you live on one of our bus routes!

Children who participate in our new Launch program will enter Kindergarten for the 2023/2024 school year, so Launch does not replace Kindergarten. The purpose of Launch is to ensure more Lynden children have access to high-quality early learning opportunities.
