Lynden Staff Honored

Lynden school psychologist Kelly Lam Scholten was honored by the Washington State Association of School Psychologists as the 2022 President’s Award winner for service in advancing the standards of the profession. “She faced discrimination in this field beginning in graduate school and dealt with it head-on, preserving,” says the association commendation. “She shows a passion for children and her work with extensive consultation and collaboration within the district and with her graduate school cohort. She works to proactively prevent systemic racism in her workplace and community.”
